Wildfire Evacuations in Los Angeles County

1,200 People Displaced as Post Fire Rages

Posted on March 9, 2023

A wildfire in Los Angeles County, dubbed the Post Fire, has forced the evacuation of at least 1,200 people as of Saturday afternoon. The fire was first reported around 2:45 p.m. near Gorman Road and the southbound I-5 Freeway, about 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Strong winds have pushed the flames through dry brush in mountains along Interstate 5 north of Los Angeles.

The fire has spread over thousands of acres and is threatening homes and businesses in the area. Authorities are urging residents to evacuate immediately if they are in the affected area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. However, strong winds and dry conditions have contributed to the spread of the flames.

Please stay tuned for updates on the situation as they become available.
